Men should have a 190 or better average

Women shoudl have a 180 or better average.

The teams are both very competitive and alot of fund raising, practicing and traveling is involved.

The Striking Knight bowling program is self supporting and provides opportunities for students to utilize their bowling skills through competition at the appropriate intercollegiate level and to have the university represented by men and women whose

conduct and sportsmanship reflect positively on the university. It seeks to field disciplined and competitive teams dedicated to observing applicable rules to provide quality training to intercollegiate bowlers and to support the general welfare of student-bowlers.

It begins with:

1 - Getting accepted to the University

2 – Attending Tryouts – A try out fee of $200.0 0 is required.

3 - Being one of the 12 men athletes or 12 women athletes selected, comprising the men’s and women’s team.

4 - Each athlete is ranked according to their position on the team, with 7 athletes comprising the travel team for both the men’s and women’s teams.

5 – The team is supported solely by fund raising. Each athlete is expected to raise their share of funds in order to compete in a high level of competition.

6 - Each athlete is provided with the opportunities to raise their money with the Booster Club, Silent Auctions, Raffles and hosting the teams Youth Doubles tournaments.

7 – This program is a difficult, demanding and the expectations are at a very high level.

The men’s and women’s team are very competitive and are ranked as one of the top teams in the nation today. You must be an exceptional student athlete dedicated to your studies and the team.
