UCF Bowling Club - Rules for Spring 2002

1. This league shall be known as UCF Bowling Club. We will bowl 13 weeks, starting January 7th and ending April
15. There will be no bowling on January 21 and March 11. The End of Season Party will be held on April 22. Practice
time will be at 6:45 p.m. with the starting time at 6:55 p.m. every Monday evening.
2. The League will be composed of 3-person teams, mixed. 2 members will constitute a legal line-up.
3. Team captains and the officers make up the Board of Directors, and they are responsible for the league.
4. This league shall be sanctioned by ABC/WIBC/YABA. Sanction membership must be paid in full before the first
3 game series is completed.
5. The amount to be paid by each bowler per week is $6.00 (lineage $5.25, $0.75 club fund). There will be a
club membership due of $10, due on the 5th week (Feb 11). Anyone who has not paid dues by the deadline will not
be allowed to bowl until dues are paid. If a bowler needs to postpone a weekly payment to the following week, there
will be an additional charge of $1. All bowlers will be charged $1 for each abscence.
6. League funds shall be deposited through Aloma East in-house banking.
7. This will be a handicap league based on 90% of 200. Your average will be deducted from 200 and the remainder
multiplied by 90%.
8. Bowlers shall establish their average the first night of bowling, with 3 consecutive games on that night.
9. Teams without a bowler shall use 130 for a vacancy score. Once someone has bowled, their absentee score will
be their average minus 10 pins plus full handicap.
10. Teams that forfeit will receive no points for that night, however, the team present must bowl within 40 pins
of the total team average to win their points.
11. Points will be a total of 7, 2 per game and one for total pins. Tie for 1st place will be a 1 game roll-off.
Ties on position round will be determined by total pins.
12. There will be 1 position round on the last night of bowling. If the 1st place team is more than 7.5 points
ahead of the 2nd place team, and the last place team is 7.5 points into last place, 1st and last will bowl each
other the last night.
13. A bowler must bowl two thirds of the season to receive awards. No pacers will be allowed.
14. Tardy bowlers shall not be allowed to bowl after the 3rd frame has been completed by both teams any game.
15. Any member more than 1 week arrears will not be allowed to bowl, except by prior arrangements. Team Captains
are Responsible For All Team Moneys. Team Captains must give the completed team envelope to the league secretary
by the end of the first game. Checks should be made out to Aloma Bowl East.
16. A bowler withdrawing from the league must give 2 weeks written notice to the team captain and secretary. A
team may only carry an average 3 weeks for a bowler that has been absent and has not paid or made arrangements.
Replacement bowlers are not allowed during the last two weeks.
17. There will be no smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages within the bowlers' circle or at the tables directly
behind each pair of lanes.
18. This league will abide by the rules of ABC/WIBC/YABA 2000-2001 rule book for any rules not covered herein.
